Jane Boone is our church librarian. She and her husband John moved to Portland in 1991 from Morris, Illinois, where Jane had served as the librarian in a middle-school. They have been working in our library ever since.

 

Our church library is one of the most extensive in South Texas. We have over 7,000 books, primarily relating to religious matters. The Library contains an extensive collection of audio visual tapes, CD’s and LP records featuring hymns. It has also recently added a small collection of DVD’s. The Library is open on Sundays. Church members may browse and check-out media on their own whenever the church is open; you may simply sign the card and leave it on the desk. The Day School also uses the library throughout the week.
